Four South Carolina Gamecocks Receive All-America Honors
The South Carolina Gamecocks continue to make their mark on the national stage, with four players earning All-America honors from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and the Associated Press (AP). Junior forward Chloe Kitts and standout freshman Joyce Edwards received honorable mentions from both organizations, recognizing their impressive contributions throughout the season.
Kitts, a versatile player known for her rebounding and defensive presence, played a crucial role in the Gamecocks’ success this season. Her ability to stretch the floor and make an impact on both ends helped South Carolina dominate the SEC once again. Meanwhile, Edwards, one of the nation’s top freshmen, quickly established herself as a rising star, making an immediate impact with her scoring and defensive abilities.
Alongside them, senior guard Te-Hina Paopao and sophomore sensation MiLaysia Fulwiley also received national recognition. Paopao, a steady leader in the backcourt, has been instrumental in running the offense and knocking down clutch shots. Fulwiley, known for her electrifying style of play and dynamic scoring ability, has been one of the most exciting players to watch in women’s college basketball this year.
