Wide receiver Elijhah Badger has announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, concluding his impactful tenure with the Florida Gators. In his farewell message, Badger expressed, “After much prayer and reflection, I am proud to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.”
Badger transferred to Florida in May 2024 from Arizona State University, where he had a standout career. In his sole season with the Gators, he played in 12 games with nine starts, leading the team with 806 receiving yards. He averaged 20.7 yards per catch, ranking fifth nationally, and contributed four receiving touchdowns. Notably, he achieved three 100-yard receiving games during the season.
Prior to joining Florida, Badger had an impressive stint at Arizona State. Over three seasons, he accumulated 142 receptions for 1,640 yards and 10 touchdowns. His 2023 performance included 65 receptions for 713 yards and three touchdowns, despite challenges at the quarterback position.
Badger’s decision to pursue a professional career leaves a significant void in Florida’s receiving corps. The Gators will need to find a successor to match his production and playmaking abilities in the upcoming
season.
