In a stunning development, University of Nebraska women’s basketball star Alexis Markowski has been suspended for three months following what the athletic department is calling a “violation of team policies.”
The announcement came early Tuesday morning via an official statement from Nebraska Athletics, confirming that Markowski will be sidelined from all team activities, including summer training and preseason workouts, until mid-July.
While the university has not disclosed specific details regarding the incident, sources close to the program suggest that the suspension is tied to an off-court issue that breached team conduct standards.
