In a season filled with dominance and determination, Jordy Bahl has been officially recognized as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Nebraska Cornhuskers softball team. The announcement came following a standout season in which Bahl not only led her team to the NCAA Super Regionals but also earned one of the most prestigious honors in college softball: the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award.
Bahl, a native of Papillion, Nebraska, made headlines after transferring from the University of Oklahoma, where she won two national championships and earned Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 Women’s College World Series. Following a redshirt season due to an ACL injury, Bahl returned in 2025 stronger than ever—posting a jaw-dropping 23–5 pitching record with a 1.46 ERA, while also hitting .467 with 19 home runs and 59 RBIs.
Her historic two-way performance earned her both Big Ten Player and Pitcher of the Year, marking the first time in conference history a single athlete received both honors in the same season.
“I’m incredibly grateful for this recognition,” Bahl said in a press statement. “Coming home to Nebraska and representing my state has been one of the greatest honors of my career.”
Head Coach Rhonda Revelle praised Bahl’s work ethic, leadership, and fierce competitiveness. “Jordy is the heart and soul of this team. Her impact goes beyond stats—she elevates everyone around her.”
Bahl’s recognition as team MVP and a national award-winner cements her legacy as one of the greatest to wear the Husker red. With her leadership, the Cornhuskers are eyeing their first Women’s College World Series appearance since 2013—and with Bahl in the circle and at the plate, anything seems possible.
