
Florida State head coach Lonni Alameda has been recognized as the 2025 ACC Coach of the Year, earning her seventh accolade in the prestigious role . Alameda’s leadership propelled the Seminoles to their 15th ACC Regular Season Championship, concluding conference play with a dominant 18–3 record, while not dropping a single series .
What makes this honor even more inspiring is that Coach Alameda achieved it while battling breast cancer, illustrating her resilience on and off the field . The team’s pitching staff flourished under her guidance, finishing with the lowest ERA in the ACC, underscoring her strategic command .
The Seminoles also boasted an impressive seven players named to the All‑ACC Teams, including three on the First Team: Jazzy Francik, Jahni Kerr, and Isa Torres .
Jazzy Francik (P, Freshman): Posted a conference‑low 1.40 ERA over 35 innings and an undefeated 5‑0 record. She delivered 12 scoreless innings across her last two ACC starts and notably threw a no‑hitter against No. 15 Virginia Tech. Her efforts earned her a spot on the ACC All‑Freshman Team .
Jahni Kerr (OF, Senior): Selected for her second career First‑Team All‑ACC honors after compiling a torrid .456 batting average in ACC play, alongside four home runs and 23 RBIs. Notably, she drove in at least one run in eight straight games, tying for the third-longest RBI streak in Seminole history .
Isa Torres (INF, Sophomore): Lauded as “Ms. Consistent,” Torres hit .456 with two home runs and 19 RBIs, striking out only once in 79 conference at‑bats, and stole four stolen bases .
The Seminoles also had strong representation on the Second Team—Katie Dack, Ashtyn Danley, Michaela Edenfield—and Third‑Team nods for Kennedy Harp .
