
Florida State sophomore shortstop Isa Torres has shattered her own school’s single-season batting average record, earning unanimous First-Team All‑American acclaim from Softball America, D1Softball, and the NFCA.
Torres closed the 2025 season with a staggering .436 batting average, surpassing her own mark and rewriting the FSU record books . Her offensive output included 95 hits (third-most in school history), 70 runs scored (fourth-most), nine home runs, and 45 RBIs .
Putting her consistency on full display, Torres recorded at least one hit in 51 of the Seminoles’ 61 games and reached base in 54 . She led the ACC with the highest batting average and hit total, and ranked third nationally in total hits .
On May 27, D1Softball added its voice, naming Torres to its First-Team All‑American squad and spotlighting her as one of the most potent hitters in FSU history . The very next day, the NFCA followed suit, selecting Isa Torres for its First-Team lineup — marking FSU’s first player on the NFCA First-Team since Sydney Sherrill in 2019 .
Her accolades grew the Seminoles’ total All‑America count to 59, with Torres becoming the program’s 38th All‑American and the 26th under coach Lonni Alameda .
Off the field, Torres also earned Academic All‑District honors with a 3.563 GPA, balancing elite performance both athletically and academically .
