In a shocking yet nostalgic move, former Indiana Hoosiers basketball star Eric Gordon has been named the new head coach of the program, replacing Mike Woodson after a series of disappointing seasons. Gordon, 35, played one season at Indiana in 2007-08, where he averaged 20.9 points per game and was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year. He was a key figure in Indiana’s resurgence before declaring for the NBA Draft, where he was selected 7th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers. After a long and successful NBA career, including an NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in 2017, Gordon now steps into coaching for the first time.
