According to CBS Sports analyst Gary Parrish, the Gators are projected to be ranked No. 18 in the country, signaling a strong return to national relevance under head coach Todd Golden.
The Gators are coming off a promising 2024–25 campaign that saw them make a return to the NCAA Tournament and finish as one of the SEC’s more consistent teams. With a solid core of returning players and an impressive incoming recruiting class, Florida is poised to take another step forward.
Key returners include rising star Riley Kugel, who led the team in scoring last season and is expected to be a focal point of the offense once again.
