Florida State’s pitching staff was dominant throughout the game, with the starting pitcher delivering a near-flawless performance that stifled Auburn’s offense. Following their impressive victory against Auburn, the Seminoles faced Texas Tech in the Tallahassee Super Regional. In a tightly contested series, Florida State battled hard but ultimately fell short, losing 2-1 to Texas Tech. Despite the narrow defeat, the Seminoles concluded their season with an outstanding 49-12 record, marking one of the most successful campaigns in recent program history.

Head Coach Lonni Alameda praised her team’s effort and perseverance throughout the season, highlighting the growth and development of her players. “This group showed incredible heart all season,” Alameda said. “Though the outcome in the Super Regional was not what we hoped for, I’m incredibly proud of how our team competed and the foundation we’ve built moving forward.”

With a talented core returning and new recruits on the horizon, Florida State softball is poised to remain a national powerhouse in the coming years.
