Isa Torres and Kennedy Harp Earn NFCA All-American Honors as FSU Secures No. 5 National Seed in NCAA Tournament

 

Florida State Seminoles softball stars Isa Torres and Kennedy Harp have received prestigious recognition for their stellar performances this season, earning spots on the NFCA All-American teams. Torres was named to the First Team, while Harp secured a place on the Second Team, underscoring their impact as two of the nation’s elite players.

 

Isa Torres, a key offensive and defensive force for the Seminoles, has consistently delivered clutch hits and outstanding defense throughout the season. Her ability to perform in high-pressure situations helped elevate Florida State’s lineup, contributing significantly to the team’s success in ACC play and beyond. Kennedy Harp’s versatility and leadership on the field also proved invaluable, with her strong presence at the plate and in the field making her a vital asset for FSU.

 

The recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) highlights the level of talent and dedication these players brought to the Seminoles this season, drawing attention from across collegiate softball.

 

Adding to the excitement, Florida State secured the No. 5 national seed heading into the NCAA Tournament. This top-five ranking reflects the team’s impressive 49-12 overall record and dominant performances during the regular season and ACC Tournament. Hosting the Tallahassee Regional, the Seminoles were well-positioned to make a deep postseason run, backed by the talents of Torres, Harp, and a strong supporting cast.

 

Head coach Lonni Alameda praised the team’s efforts, emphasizing the blend of individual excellence and teamwork that has defined the Seminoles’ 2025 campaign. “Having Isa and Kennedy recognized as All-Americans is a testament to their hard work and leadership,” Alameda said. “Our national seed reflects the commitment and focus of this entire team.”

 

With key players receiving national accolades and a favorable tournament position, Florida State softball enters the postseason with high hopes for a championship run.
